From burnout to balance as a busy working mum.
Mother & Matriarch was born from the reality of being a working mum without the village, trying to hold it all together with zero time for self-care.
Created by Erin, a holistic health coach, senior marketing leader, and mum of boys, this space is for ambitious and exhausted women in equal measure – the ones juggling careers, kids, and home lives who have lost themselves in the overwhelm and wonder why it has to be so hard!
Here, you’ll find tools and reflections to help you reconnect with yourself: practical rituals, mindful movement, journaling prompts, and burnout guides designed for real life.
“This isn’t about adding more to your to-do list; it’s about finally putting yourself on it.”
My mission
“For every woman who’s ever felt she had to hold it all together – this is a space to finally breathe, to be seen, and to step into the life she was meant to live.”
Mother & Matriarch was born from love, loss, and the longing for a guide that so many of us never had.
This mission is about rewriting the story for a generation of women caught between ambition and exhaustion, care and career, family and self. It’s about reminding mothers, daughters, and caregivers that their worth is not measured by how much they sacrifice, but by how fully they live.
Through words, community, and tools for change, Mother & Matriarch gives women permission to slow down, set boundaries without guilt, and create joy and meaning in the everyday. Through honest reflections and newfound community, we normalise working mums’ struggles and remind ourselves that we are not alone.
It is a spark for cultural change, but it is also deeply personal – a tribute to my mum’s unfinished story, and a promise to my children that life can be both beautiful and balanced.
This is not just about surviving motherhood. It’s about reclaiming ourselves, together.

Each week, I share honest reflections about juggling my career, motherhood and home, while squeezing in small moments of self-care along the way.
My quest to find my village has given me back my voice, so I hope that you find value in the lessons I’ve learned through becoming a mum, stepmum, senior corporate team leader, main homemaker, and home renovator – all without the village, and without my own mum earthside.
I’d love to connect, share stories and support each other along this magically messy journey. What a privilege to experience life in all its fullness!
